Pago del Humo chalet consists of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom for up to 5 people.
It is only a ten minute drive from the magnificent 8 kilometer stretch of golden sand on La Barrosa beach, and 30 minutes from the fascinating historical city of Cádiz. It is an ideal center for exploring western Andalusia, with many white villages on the tops, just 40 minutes from Jerez, famous for its horses and sherry cellars. Seville, the capital of Andalusia, with its amazing cathedral, romantic river and lush parks and gardens can be reached by car, train or bus in less than two hours. The garden has secure parking for up to 2 cars and has a 3 x 3 meter pool. The lawn provides an area for sunbathing. The House and Annex are beautifully furnished in a new style combining contemporary and traditional, with air conditioning in the main living room. The property is registered by the Andalusian Government, complying with all the region's requirements for rental properties, including security measures and non-potable water supply. Pago del Humo retains much of its traditional village atmosphere with a strong sense of community, resulting in a safe and crime-free environment. It has a pharmacy, a mini-market and a hardware store, although the latter is unlikely to be of interest to tourists. The town's main restaurant / bar, "Venta La Sorpresa", just a 5-minute walk from Val de Rosa, is the center of the neighborhood and is particularly lively when Cádiz FC plays against Real Madrid. There are also a number of smaller, more intimate "sales" on the road leading into town. Pago is located on the outskirts of Chiclana de la Frontera, a traditional Spanish city, off the tourist map, but with a lot to offer in terms of shops and all kinds of restaurants and bars. It even has its own bullring and a small bullfighting museum, as well as a new wine and salt museum, and a fascinating municipal museum that offers insight into local history. There is a regular bus service from Pago to Chiclana. On the edge of the salt marshes in the Iro River estuary, Chiclana has a superbly diverse landscape, and is surrounded by a series of national parks that attract migratory birds and birds of prey. Most of the year storks can be seen nesting on pylons around the neighborhood, and flying low over the garden, making their distinctive sound. It is to this area that the Spanish come for their holidays, and many holiday homes in the district. In common with other cities in the area, Chiclana has an annual fair or 'fair' in June, celebrating Spanish culture in the lush Andalusian style, when entire families come out in traditional costumes and horse-drawn carriages appear on the streets. For golfers there are several courses within a 10-15 minute drive from Pago del Humo. In Novo Sancti Petri there are two 18-hole courses designed by Severiano Ballesteros. A little further, the course in Montenmedio south of Vejer offers plenty of variety in a spectacular setting, with top-notch facilities, just like the two Vistahermosa near Puerto de Santa María and Montecastillo in Vejer (designed by Jack Nicklaus). There are also a variety of interesting walks, ranging from a walk on the beach to long-distance trails. We have a detailed guide for serious walkers, which can be sent on request. Cycling is also popular throughout the area, which is relatively flat, and bicycles can be rented from one of the nearby hotels. All of our guests receive a copy of our complimentary brochure that provides a comprehensive guide to the area's beaches, bars / restaurants, and other attractions, as well as detailed instructions to help our guests make the most of the facilities provided.
